Piat, Cagayan — Cagayan State University – Piat Campus officially welcomed its new students during the Campus Orientation held on July 10, 2025, with the theme “CSUP Freshie: Bida Ka!” The day-long event aimed to familiarize first-year students with the university’s academic environment, support services, and key personnel who will guide them throughout their college journey.
Morning Session: A Warm “Salubong” for Freshmen
The orientation began with a cheerful Salubong for first-year students, highlighting CSU’s tradition of inclusivity and support for its newest members. The morning session featured the presentation of university and campus officials, including the campus executive officer and college deans, who shared inspiring messages and key insights about the institution’s vision and mission.
Students were also introduced to the Faculty of Instruction, Administrative Personnel, and the Campus Student Council Officers, who play vital roles in delivering quality education and student services. In addition, a special segment on ROTC Advocacy and Awareness was conducted, offering students an overview of the program and its contribution to leadership development and national service.
Afternoon Session: Services for Student Success
The afternoon session was dedicated to the Presentation of University Services, showcasing the wide range of academic and non-academic support available to students. Representatives from various offices—including guidance and counseling, library services, student affairs, registrar, medical and dental services, and scholarship and financial assistance programs—provided overviews of their functions and how students can access them.
Through this orientation, CSU Piat Campus reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing well-rounded and well-supported students. The event not only equipped the new batch of CSU'ans with essential information but also encouraged them to embrace their roles as active participants in campus life.
With the theme “CSUP Freshie: Bida Ka!”, the orientation day celebrated the potential, energy, and importance of every student as a valuable member of the CSU community.
