The Cagayan State University Piat Campus in collaboration with the National Dairy Authority forges contract with the Department of Education-Division of Cagayan’s milk feeding program as one of the components of the National Feeding Program in pursuant to the Republic Act 11037 also known as Masustansyang Pagkain para sa Batang Pilipino. With a total of 1,679 beneficiaries, CSU Piat is able to distribute milk packs to the different schools in Piat, Rizal, Sto. Niño, and Tuao from pre-schoolers to grade schoolers. The first batch which includes Piat and Rizal has started receiving the milk packs in November 2020. On the other hand, the second batch which comprises Tuao and Sto. Niño is expected to receive in January 2021. With this program, the Cagayan State University Piat Campus is gratified to the Department of Science and Technology Region 2 for the equipment they have provided to make this endeavor be realized. As this program has commenced, CSU Piat is expected to increase its milk production as well as beneficiaries for 2021.
