Piat, Cagayan – May 15, 2025 — In a significant stride toward advancing technical and vocational education, Cagayan State University (CSU) – Piat Campus held the Groundbreaking and Cornerstone Laying Ceremony for the construction of a new TVET (Technical-Vocational Education and Training) Building at its Agri-Tourism site.
The historic event was graced by key university officials, led by Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, OIC University President and ASEAN Engineer, along with faculty, staff, and students of CSU-Piat, as well as Genaro Ronald C. Ibay, Provincial Director of the Technical Education and Skills Development Authority (TESDA) in Cagayan, under Region II – Cagayan Valley.
The soon-to-rise facility is expected to house state-of-the-art equipment and training spaces tailored to current industry demands. It forms part of CSU’s broader initiative to integrate technical skills training into its academic programs, aligning with national goals for workforce readiness and sustainable rural development.
CSU-Piat Campus officials expressed their gratitude for the support of the university administration and reaffirmed their commitment to delivering programs that bridge education and employability.
