CSU Piat Campus Welcomes New Academic Year with Orientation Program

Cagayan State University's (CSU) Piat campus ushered in a new academic year with its annual university and campus orientation program held at the Francisco "Kiko" Mamba Gymnasium. The event, which took place on August 29, 2024, marked an important occasion for welcoming first-year students, transferees, and continuing students to the university.

The program commenced with a warm welcome from the Campus Executive Officer, Dr. Hitler C. Dangatan, the University OIC President, Asean Engr. Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dr. Mariden V. Cauilan, and other university officials who extended their heartfelt greetings to all new and returning students, emphasizing the importance of the university’s vision and mission in shaping their educational journey.

In his address, Dr. Ibañez commended the students for embarking on their educational journey and encouraged them to embrace the opportunities that CSU offers.

The program also featured the presentation of the university and campus officials. Notable attendees included Board of Regents members Atty. Carmelo “Black” Villacete and Hon. Joseph “Jojo Pulsar” Lasam Lara.

The orientation program also included interactive sessions and introductions to faculty members and administrative staff, providing students with valuable insights into the university's culture and resources. The presence of faculty members and administrative staff underscored the collaborative spirit that CSU embodies.

In the afternoon, the orientation program continued with a detailed discussion of CSU’s quality policy and a presentation on student services. This session was designed to inform students about the university’s commitment to maintaining high academic standards and the various support services available to enhance their academic experience.

The CSU Piat campus looks forward to a productive and inspiring academic year, with new and returning students ready to contribute to the achievement of the university’s vision, mission and core values.
