Cagayan State University (CSU) Piat Campus welcomed a distinguished delegation of faculty and student visitors from Universiti Teknologi Mara (UiTM) Malaysia on September 16, 2024. The visit marked the commencement of the Youth Leadership Towards Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) Exchange Program, aimed at fostering cross-cultural understanding and collaboration among future leaders from diverse backgrounds.
The delegation's visit was a highlight in CSU's ongoing commitment to promoting global perspectives and cooperative efforts in achieving the SDGs. Throughout the program, participants engaged in a range of activities designed to enhance their leadership skills and broaden their understanding of sustainable development.
One of the key components of the exchange program included guided tours and hands-on activities. Delegates had the opportunity to visit CSUP's dairy farm and dairy processing facility, where they learned about the intricacies of dairy production and the importance of sustainable agricultural practices. They also participated in milk distribution initiatives, benefiting local schoolchildren and gaining insights into community engagement and support.
The collaborative efforts between CSU and UiTM are part of a broader initiative to empower young leaders with the knowledge and experiences needed to address global challenges.
