Dr. Nonito Pattugalan, dean of the College of Agriculture (CA) of this campus, was awarded 2nd runner-up in the Idols ng TESDA – Wage-Employed Category during the 2025 Kabalikat Awards and Idols ng TESDA held today at the Philippine Trade and Training Center, Pasay City.
Dr. Pattugalan emerged as one of the three national contenders for the prestigious award, which recognizes exemplary wage-employed individuals who embody excellence, professionalism, and innovation in technical-vocational fields.
Before his appointment as dean of the College of Agriculture, Dr. Pattugalan served as the TVET Focal Person of CSU Piat Campus beginning in 2022,where he played a key role in strengthening technical-vocational programs and industry linkages.
Criteria for the Wage-Employed Category
Awardees under the Idols ng TESDA Wage-Employed Category are evaluated based on:
Technical-Vocational Education and Training (TVET) attainment, relevant skills certification
, proof of work performance, and innovations introduced in their field.
Dr. Pattugalan’s commitment to advancing agricultural education, coupled with his strong TVET background and documented achievements, distinguished him as a top contender for the national recognition.
The honor highlights not only Dr. Pattugalan’s personal achievements but also the growing impact of CSU’s technical-vocational initiatives at the national level.
