CSU, LGU Rizal seal partnership for STCBF on Mango Production and Processing project

A Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) between Cagayan State University (CSU) and the Local Government Unit (LGU) of Rizal was signed today, marking are significant step toward strengthening community-based agriculture.

‎The MOA formally establishes the collaboration for the Department of Science and Technology- Philippine Council for Agriculture, Aquatic and Natural Resources Research and Development (DOST- PCAARRD) funded- project “S&T (Science and Technology) Community-Based Farm on Mango Production and Processing for Enterprise Development in Cagayan Province.”

‎The ceremonial signing was held at the Research, Development, and Extension (RDE) Office of CSU Piat, alongside the Campus In-House Review and Project Monitoring activity.

The six officials who served as signatories to the MOA were Hon. Jamila Denise B. Ruma, LGU Rizal Municipal Mayor, Engr. Audy R. Quebral, DPA , Vice President for RDE (also representing OIC-President Arthur G. Ibañez, ASEAN Engr.), Dr. Hitler C. Dangatan, Campus Executive Officer and Engr. Juanito D. Guzman, Rizal Municipal Agriculturist, Dr. Anderson Gonzales, University Research and Development Director, and Macluven T. Gonzales, Project Leader.

‎The partnership aims to improve mango production and processing through S&T- based methods. It also promotes enterprise development among local mango farmers more specifically the Rizal Mango Growers Agriculture Cooperative.

‎Moreover, the ceremony was participated in by the University Officials, faculty and staff of CSU Piat, project staff, and Municipal Agriculture Office (MAO) staff, showing a shared commitment to advancing research-driven agricultural growth.
