University President Arthur G. Ibañez, Ph.D., visited the CSU Piat Campus for a consultative meeting with faculty members and administrative personnel.
The campus community was honored by the presence of Dr. Ibañez, who took the time to engage directly with CSU Piat employees, sharing the university administration’s strategic plans and ongoing initiatives to support the campus in achieving its goals across instruction, research, extension, and production.
During the meeting, the President outlined current efforts to assist the campus and emphasized the administration’s commitment to academic and operational excellence. An open forum followed, where both faculty and staff were given the opportunity to raise questions and concerns, which Dr. Ibañez and other university officials addressed.
Also, a total of 10 smart television units were officially turned over for distribution among the four colleges.
As part of the visit, Dr. Ibañez, along with key university officials—including Engr. Roger Rumpon, University Dean of the College of Agriculture—toured select areas of the campus. Notably, they visited a 5-hectare site identified as a prospective location for a planned orchard project, where various fruit trees are set to be cultivated.
According to Dr. Ibañez, this initiative aligns with the university’s broader efforts to contribute to climate action by helping sequester carbon and participate in carbon credit programs, while also enhancing the campus’s production endeavors.
