Piat, Cagayan – Demonstrating continued support for regional higher education development, Commission on Higher Education (CHED) Chairperson and Cagayan State University (CSU) Board of Regents Chair Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis visited the CSU Piat Campus on August 9, 2025.
Joining her were OIC University President Dr. Arthur G. Ibañez and former University President Dr. Urdujah G. Alvarado. The visit also gathered university officials, campus executive officers, faculty members, personnel, and staff, reflecting a unified commitment to institutional growth and academic excellence.
The visit aimed to strengthen collaborative efforts in enhancing educational programs, research initiatives, and community engagement at CSU Piat. It also provided an opportunity to assess ongoing projects and identify future directions in line with CHED’s thrust for quality and accessible education.
Dr. Agrupis’s presence at the campus highlighted CHED’s active role in empowering state universities and colleges (SUCs) across the country. Her leadership continues to inspire innovation, accountability, and strategic development in the Philippine higher education landscape.
